Kids Flower Crown Workshop with Bea Jenkins, MS, OTR/L
Led by Bea Jenkins, Pediatric Occupational Therapist and Flower Farmer. Children will create their own flower and greens crown using construction paper, double-sided tape, decorative supplies, and harvested/foraged greens from The Bea Hive, a local organic flower farm in Milan, MI. This guided activity uses simple, step-by-step visual instruction to support hands-on creativity and skill-building. Adult supervision and support are required for younger children or those who cannot complete the craft independently. Without adult support, It is best suited for children 3rd grade or older with appropriate frustration tolerance and skills required for fine/visual motor skills (i.e stapling, taping, writing, and following multi-step directions without any additional support or redirection). All materials are provided, and participants will leave with a wearable crown.

Flower Crown DIY with Bea Embodied & Meraiah Browning
Using blooms from The Bea Hive, a local organic flower farm in Milan, MI, you will be guided through simple, intuitive techniques to weave your own fresh floral crown. You then can wear this masterpiece throughout the weekend as a living expression of nature’s beauty. Over time, your living crown will naturally dry, transforming into an everlasting keepsake. This piece is meant to evolve with you, holding the memory of DPG long after the fresh blooms fade. A simple offering of beauty, presence, and place.

Sustainable Smudging with Danielle-Bawaji Ishkode Kwe
Join Danielle for a discussion focused around the importance of sustainable smudging from an indigenous perspective. The importance of building relationship with plants used as smoke smudges, the dangers of over harvesting and responsible sourcing to avoid consumerism.come and gather plants together and create your own smudge bundle to take with you along with a new outlook on the plants you can use to smudge as apart of your spiritual hygiene practices.
