Mothers’ Circle

Motherhood is one of the most beautiful, fulfilling, and deeply challenging experiences. We are not meant to do this alone. Join Cindy in taking a guided pause to connect, release and be in the presence of others who are on this journey. No need to bring anything but yourself and an open heart.

Cindy Caro is a mother of 3 (two teenage boys and 6 year old daughter). Cindy has a Masters in Childhood Development, experience in homeschooling and regularly teaches yoga to kids. Her family owns Great Lakes Yurt Co. Whom we have to thank for our new space this year!

Vocal Harmony Meditation

We welcome you to gather with us in circle to attune to the omnipresent life force that nurtures and sustains us all. We will warm up our voices up with toning, and then dive deeply into a journey of co-creating a harmonic and resonant soundscape of improvisational singing. The intention is on listening to and singing in harmony with one another. Towards the end of our vocal journey, we offer this practice as metta ~ a gift of love to all beings. The space is open to movement and making physical contact with one another while joining our voices together as an improvisational choir.

Tatianah Thunberg, LMSW, E-RYT, a clinical social worker and yoga teacher, is the founder of Spirit Moves LLC. Singing in choirs since she was a child, Tatianah has been a member of several local devotional singing ensembles over the past decade and loves to gather with folks to harmonize.

Reiki Talk and Holy Fire Meditation

At Divine Pine, I will be facilitating a short Reiki talk, followed by a partially guided meditation. I will discuss what Holy Fire Reiki is and what it has to offer. Then we will begin the meditation: Holy Fire of Ocean Love Experience. Providing an array of frequencies that offer a wide range of healing. The meditation starts off guided, then I will let you go through the remainder of your experience without interference. This experience will last 15-20 minutes and if anyone would like to share their experiences afterward, they are more than welcome.

My name is Selenia Rodriguez and I'm a Holy Fire III Karuna Reiki Master. I've been practicing Reiki for 6 years and I've been a Master for 4 years. Holy Fire Reiki is a healing technique that activates the body's natural healing and relaxation responses and helps the body balance itself from a very deep level physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is a spiritual energy that creates wellness through purification, healing, empowerment, and guidance. Gentle but powerful, there are no limits to the possibilities offered by this form of Reiki. Some things I really enjoy incorporating into my sessions are crystals, essential oils, goal empowerment, and meditation.

TWO WORKSHOPS
1. Sound healing: The Attuning of our World. (60 min)

The fragmentation resulting from media application has resulted in a loss of remembering organic sound. Sound is not just an event in time it is also an event in space. In other words, you cannot fully appreciate gongs that are recorded. They can truly be felt only in the continuum of participation among others in a natural environment. This offering will appeal to the present moment. 8 planetary gongs and shruti. Bring blankets and a mat.
___________________

2. Astrology: The Solar Feminine and Lunar Masculine (90 min)

This offering will explore our potential for personal and planetary renewal. Astrology has a deep and historical connection to nature as an ensouled earth. We will consider the most predominant themes that are constellating in our sky with discussion chart examples and Q&A. No prior astrology understanding necessary. Each attendee will be eligible for a discounted rate on a 30-min reading.

Valerie Weir is a soundscape practitioner using a variety of gongs, trigongs, and shruti. She trained directly with gongmaster Don Conreaux.

Valerie is a practicing professional astrologer from the Steven Forrest school. She offers experiential workshops on evolutionary and archetypal astrology both locally and nationally. She practices and resides in Oakland County.

Traditional Archery & Bowhunting

Archery has been an important part of human culture across the globe for thousands of years. In today’s context, the word “Traditional” refers to the use of equipment similar to that used for millennia, true archery, as opposed to the modern, mechanized “compound” bows and crossbows used by many people today. Archery is a physical and spiritual practice that develops strength, focus, discipline, and mindfulness. Traditional Bowhunting connects us to the generations of hunter/gatherers in our shared past and weaves our lives back into the natural world and the great food web that we are all part of. Hunting in a traditional way immerses us in nature and promotes sustainability, deep respect for our animal brethren and regenerative land use.

This one-hour workshop will introduce Traditional Archery & Bowhunting by discussing:A brief history of archery across the world. Traditional Archery equipment and how it works - a bit of the physics. Traditional Hunting, and where it fits in the modern world. How to shoot – brief instruction will be offered for those interested Come connect to our past and to nature through this historic and beautiful practice.

Lifelong friends, Nicholas and Michael have been practicing archery together since Mike came home from school with Nick on the day they met in 7th grade to shoot bows in the woods behind Nick’s house. Today, Michael is a Doctor of Humanistic Psychology and maintains both a teaching schedule and a private therapy practice in Dexter, Michigan. Nicholas enjoyed a long career in corporate leadership and is now retired on a southern Michigan acreage not far from the DPG location. There, he helps manage the habitat to encourage native species, and builds and maintains traditional archery equipment.

It is his goal to share farming methods that are not only affordable for farmers, but these practices also heal the soil and the beings that existing withing the space.
